What Is Ashwagandha Root Powder?
A traditional Ayurvedic herb Ashwagandha has been widely used in South Asia for over three thousand years. Ashwagandha has the botanical name Withania Somnifera which translates as 'smell of a horse', it's also known as winter cherry and Indian Ginseng and is cultivated throughout the drier regions of the Indian subcontinent.
The Ashwagandha plant is a small sensitive shrub that only grows to around 30cm tall; the plant is so delicate it is very susceptible to disease.
