What Is Cacao Powder?
Raw cacao powder is made from the ground Theobroma Cacao bean; in fact, the term cocoa is a misspelling of cacao, the Theobroma cacao tree is native to South America and South-East Asia - our cacao is sourced from South America, as the quality is better than South East Asian cocoa.
The Theobroma tree produces a fruit called cacao pods and within each is up to 60 beans, it's these cacao beans that are micro-milled to produce cacao powder, as well as being consumed raw, cacao beans are also used to make a wide range of products, including, of course, chocolate!
The Antioxidant Levels of Cacao
The exact antioxidant profile of cacao depends on where and how it was grown; that's why it's important to buy high-quality cacao from certified organic growers. A favourite tea and coffee replacement.
Due to having a sensitive tummy, my wife decided to try ginger tea for its aid in digestion and anti-inflammatory properties. This cacao is very good, it tastes like the best, and I've tried a few. It comes from a good source and is such good value, I can highly recommend it. I don't cook with it, as I don't want to destroy the polyphenols.
We have been buying this for years. We are big coffee in the morning people. However, we now enjoy this tea as a nice alternative. We haven't given up coffee but have definitely reduced how many morning coffees we have.

I had been reading about the benefits of goji berries so decided to buy from NHM, delivery was quick, and compared to supermarket prices they are good value for money as you can buy different size bags to suit your needs. Resealable bag help to keep the berries fresh too ! I use them with my breakfast cereal and for snacking. I will purchase them again.
